11th, 12th and 13th Day

11th day

I really couldn't recall what we did on the 11th day because there are no pictures snap on the 11th day. If I'm not mistaken, we went to a Korean restaurant for dinner. Well, I order Spaghetti Carbonara and darling order some pork but cooking in Korean style. Silly of me for ordering Carbonara in a Korean restaurant. Mine taste normal but darling's portion taste good. After that, we went wandering around in Xidan again.

12th Day

I told darling I wanna eat Beijing specialty as it was my last day in Beijing so darling took me to this restaurant and I've forgotten the restaurant's name. We order pork with buns provided to let us put the pork in the middle of the bun and eat it, dried cheese, fried pumpkin sticks, bamboo shoots and the famous Peking "Bao Tou". I don't know what does it calls in English but the main ingredient used is some kind of beef organ. It was just more than enough for both of us to eat and end up we can't finish it all and leave it just like that. What a waste!!

My favourite dish "Bao Tou".

The above dish is the pork with the bun thingy and the one next to "Bao Tou" is dried cheese.

The bamboo shoots

The last one, pumpkin sticks and this pic is all dishes of our whole dinner.

Thanks darling =)

While walking back to our apartment, we saw this shooting game and both of us decided to compete, =.=" and I lost.

We bought this couple tees few days ago and it is freaking cheap. Rmb30 for 1 set and if it was to convert to RM, it costs around RM8 for 1 tshirt only.

13th Day

Time seems to pass very fast when you are enjoying the days and without have to worry anything, so is time for me to say goodbye to Ee Yang and goodbye to Beijing. Darn.... I miss him so much and I miss the hawker food in Beijing so much. MAS seriously provides better service than Air Asia. Free drinks, free peanuts, free eye packs, free playing cards, free entertainment and there is blanket provided for you if you are feeling cold and of course I got the free eye packs (1 for my bro and 1 for me) and free playing cards. But can't put the blame on Air Asia because the tickets offered are so cheap and thats why it can't provide facilities like MAS. Therefore, I felt much more comfortable on MAS if compared to the ride on Air Asia.

Darling sending me off in the Beijing Airport. That was quite sad and I miss him so much.

Me sitting on the plane and I'm sitting the window side. Wait... I have to explain is not that I wanna camwhore even when I'm on the plane but I saw a gal sitting in the same row as me but on other end of the window side kept taking out her camera and camwhoring. Only then I realised I brought my camera with me and I started to camwhore. Hehe!!

Triumph to the skies.

Yadaa, yadaa... and I'm back to Malaysia (KLIA).

Finally, I finished blogging the whole Beijing trip and back to my daily stuff now. I've long wanted to blog my daily routine and my feelings on this blog but when I thought of the Beijing trip haven't finish blogging, I will think is better to finish up the Beijing trip than to post new entries on it. Anyway, I really enjoyed very well in these 12 days in Beijing. Seriously, is a bit bored of reading my whole trip to Beijing as I'm talking bout the places and how sweet are we suppose to be. I'm not trying to tell the whole world how sweet are we but in fact, it is a memorable thing for both of us. So I've got no choice but to post up and keep this memorable thing all written in this blog. However, thanks for reading and viewing and thanks for viewing eventhough you are not reading.

10th day

During the 10th day in Beijing, we woke up very early in the morning to settle darling's visa because he need to extend 1 more month in Beijing. After that, I suggest to go to the Beijing Zoo as darling said he wanna bring me to see panda before. I got so excited and keep on bugging to go and off we went to Beijing Zoo. It is not like our Zoo Negara, so small and smelly. There are alot of animals to see in the Beijing Zoo: panda, all kinds of reptiles and amphibians, hippopotamus, rhinoceros, penguins, hawk, eagle, crane and lots more. Too bad, we don't have the time to see penguins. It had already closed by the time we reached there.

Weee..... We reach our destination, this is the Beijing Zoo.

Swans and ducks swimming in the lake actually.

I just like this tree so snap pic of it.

When we are buying buying tickets that time, darling saw the package which we have to pay a bit more if wanna take the boat ride so darling said since we are here dy just pay a bit more for the boat ride and unexpectedly, the boat is like this =.=". We just sit on the boat and i nearly fall asleep because it is not taking us to see the places or animals around the Beijing Zoo. It is taking us to see the places outside the Beijing Zoo with the tour guide explaining what is this and that in Mandarin. I can speak and understand Mandarin but Beijing's accent is too strong that sometimes I don't understand what their saying. Haha.... Don't need to rely on Ee Yang because his Mandarin is even worse than mine. Overall, the boat ride is just a boring session.

Camwhore is the best thing to do when you are in boredom.

Next to the boat ride is this speedboat thingy. We have to buy tickets as it is not included in the package. My kiddo darling insist of playing this speedboat so we bought the tickets and have a ride on it. It is quite fun actually and darling wanted to play the 2nd time. I pulled him away because I wanted to see panda and we still got alot more to see so don't waste time on those speedboat. Hehe!!

On the way to the panda house, we went to see the lions and tigers 1st. The lions were huge and they kept walking here and there so I cant snap the picture clearly.

This is the tiger eating meat.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeee... at last I saw my panda. I like this pic alot, it looks so cute eating the bamboo leaves. Panda is the National Treasure of China so I guess it is just China that able to rear it. This is because pandas eat alot of bamboo leaves and China produces lots of bamboo trees.

Now only I know the Beijing Zoo differentiate the pandas into 2 types. The previous picture you see is the Asian type panda and this pic is the Olympic panda and the Olympic panda have their own names but I forgot all their names.

The Golden monkey.

This is another type of monkey but I forgot what is it call too.

My little kid eating cotton candy.

Giraffe. But the neck of the giraffes in Beijing are not long enough. Maybe Africa's one will be much better than Beijing.

Zebras. Zebras look alike to donkeys, is just that zebras have black and white stripes while donkeys don't. I kept staring at the zebras and I found zebra is acually a very beautiful animal. That's what I think.

"Hawk." I find it very ugly if it just perching on the tree trunk but when it swap it's wings out to fly here and there, it turns to an amazing bird.

"Eagle." The eagles live together with the hawks but it seldom fly so I can't see how beautiful it will be.

"Hippopotamus." It is a very huge and ugly animal.

I thought the 1st cage is enough huge and ugly but when I came to the second cage, this is even more huge than the 1st cage. We name the previous one as Gloria and this is Moto Moto. Watch Madagascar 2 if you don't understand what I'm writing here.

This is the Rhinoceros. It is as huge as the real live Gloria and Moto Moto.

"Aligator."

"Crocodile." Until now, I still don't know how to differentiate which is the aligator and which is the crocodile. They just look very much alike to each other.

"Python."

Standing on the lake side with just me and you. Overall, it was a great day for us.

8th and 9th Day

8th Day

After the long walk in Forbidden City, Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven yesterday, darling and I were pretty tired so we woke up quite late during the 8th day. We decided to eat a nearby japanese buffet restaurant so we starved until 6pm only we went there to eat. The buffet restaurant we went is not like Jogoya where they place everything there and we take as much as we want, here it gave us the menu and we order as much as we want from the menu. It costs only RMB 78 per person. The food is so delicious. We ordered beef sashimi, salmon sashimi, unagi and alot more. It is worth eating buffet in Beijing as we order so much but only costs RM40 for 1 person.

Our first dish, salmon sashimi

More and more dishes coming

"Yummy"

I'm eating fried chicken.

After meal excluded some plates which collected by the waitress.

9th day

On the 9th day, we went to Xidan to refund back our money. In China, if we are not satisfied with the things we purchased we can exchange for other goods or refund back our money. I think is the same in Australia too but Malaysia doesn't have such service. Darling isn't satisfied with his white coat which he bought 3 days ago in Jack & Jones (kind of China branded goods), so we went there to refund but end up he exchange it with a short pant and I bought a collar tee for my dad. We spent another RMB225 =.=", better not to exchange. LOL.

I'm done with the shopping spree

Darling making his sad face out after spending so much money on shopping.

7th Day

On the 7th day, we went sight seeing again and this time is to visit the Forbidden City (Tian An Men), Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven. There are alot of pictures to post here as Forbidden City is one of my favourite place and I've been longing to visit it. It is the palace for the Emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties and they used about 16 years to build this palace. The palace is so big and some said that you will need 3 days to walk the whole palace but there are only a few places opened to outsiders to visit, not all of them.

Pictures Time

This is the entrance of the Forbidden City.

Darling and I standing in front of the entrance. Can't wait to go inside and have a look at the magnificent palace.

This is the Imperial Garden where the Emperors or Empress Dowager sitting there and enjoying the beauty of flowers.

This place look familiar. If you guys had watch the movie "Wars and Beauty" which is a HK film, you should notice that "Yu Fei" usually likes to walk at this compound.

Darling and I standing here to snap a pic of this ancient stone.

This is the Couple Tree and it said that couples who snap pic with this tree will be blessed being a lovey dovey couple. May we bless with joy and happiness but I look so fat in this pic =( Its the angle problem, I'm not so fat actually...... Hehe!!

This is the "Kuen Ling Gong" which is one of the palace where the China Queens live in.

The bedroom looks like this.

These are the rooms for maids and eunuchs

Thats on the way from "Kuen Ling Gong" to "Quan Qing Gong" which is the emperor's study room and to held important meetings.

"Quan Qing Gong"

It is so big inside the Forbidden City and there are still alot of courts and rooms but not all are allowed for outsiders to visit.

This is the middle court named as the "Zhong He Dian"

The stone carving: one of the culture of China. During the ancient time, there are no airplanes nor lorries or cars so the ancient peoples shipped this stone during winter using the slippery of the ice so that it would be easier for them to pull the stone. Ancient peoples like to carve pictures of dragons and pheonixs. Dragons is the king of the animals and it represent power whereas pheonix is the queen of birds.

Inside the "Zhong He Dian" looks like this.

The Big Court here is the Imperial Court and it is named as the "Tai He Dian". This court is use for morning meetings. Just like our morning assembly, the dukes, officials and princes assemble here to discuss and report things to the emperor.

Darling and me. Behind us is the "Tai He Dian".

Tortoise represents fortune during the ancient time.

This is named as the "Wu Men". The middle one is the exit for the emperors, the side is for the princes and the corner there is for the officials or dukes.

Next, we proceed to the Temple of Heaven. This is the place where the emperors pray for the God and hope that their country be blessed with prosperity.

eikkss... posing again!!

Yellow colour is the colour for the emperors while blue colour is the colour for the heaven and God. You can refer back to the above pictures. The palace is built with yellow roofs.

And behind that building is another building of the Temple of Heaven.

Later on, we stop by the silk factory and spot how silk is process and then only to the Summer Palace. There are still alot of pictures to post so if you guys got tired of it can just click the close button and sorry to have bored you. Anyway, I have to post it all as they are memories for me and Ee Yang. I just don't care if it make anyone feels bored about it.

This is the silk factory.

The workers are stretching pieces of silk to make a quilt.

Different patterns of silk

This is the entrance of the Summer Palace. Summer Palace is built by QianLong Emperor from Qing dynasty and it is built for his mother during her 60th birthday. After a few decades, the Empress Dowager (ChiXi) like it alot and deided to live there with her son Emperor Guangxu.

This is another building of Summer Palace which is the chamber of Empress Dowager ChiXi and we have to seat on a boat in order to reach this place.

We get someone to help us to snap pic 1st while waiting for our tour guide.

This is the boat and the China people named it as Dragon Boat.
Darling and me sitting on the boat.

Now, we have reach the place. This is the chamber from a nearer angle.

It's chamber looks like this.

This is the bridge built by Empress Dowager ChiXi. There are 17 holes there because Empress Dowager Chixi enter the alace since when she was 17 years old.

Darling and I standing on the bridge.

After all sight seeings, it is time for us to relax and enjoy so we asked the tour guide to drop us at "Hou Hai". Darling told me the place was very nice and he wanted to bring me there since when before I came to Beijing. "Hou Hai" is a bar street in Beijing and it is different from Malaysia. Alot of people came to "Hou Hai" to enjoy the beautiful view and sitting there drinking a glass of beer to relax and chill out.

Darling standing there looking at the opposite street of "Hou Hai".

Couple flip-flops.

This is the bar which we choose to chill out here.

Darling and me sitting here to relax while enjoying the lake view.

Holding your hand tightly and I'm not going to let you go.
